3:41 Awake

Seems to be the witching hour.

Worked yesterday for the part-time endeavor. Getting accounting in order. Setting up Quickbooks, creating a chart of accounts, classifying the expenses. Processing thousands of line items, bucketing, labeling, identifying.

It is data entry mostly. I did data entry for a number of months my last semester of college.

It is mindless and almost zen work. The blue collar efforts of the white collar professionals.

I have never minded the seemingly rote, routine, mind numbing tasks of work.

From scrubbing potato’s, to processing cabbage, slicing onion rings, chopping parsley fine, refilling coffee, bringing eggs, clearing tables, bantering with chefs.

I have always liked to do the work that most no one wants to do. People leave you be and you can often do at your own pace.

It will probably be another 6 hours tomorrow to get the chart of accounts cleaned up and process the rest of the line items.

But I will wake as I want, go to lunch with the fairy godmother. Have a Bloody Mary with eggs Benedict. Get a Rubin sandwich to go.

Maybe write a bit, read a bit.

The week is to be primarily overcast.

The pace of living languid, slow, tired but active.

A busy solitude.
