I can’t tell if what I am seeing is fact or fiction anymore. It all blends together into a horrific comedy.

Everything is playing out as if we are watching a wrestling spectacle, with heroes and heels and ridiculous bloated overblown caricatures of human beings.

Musk, Gates, Schwab, and Bezos look like supervillains, literally and figuratively.

Trump seems a bizarre obstreperous boy that half of us root for and the other half are aghast by.

Putin a distant shadow figure, a danger, but a great storyline.

Zelenskyy a curiously cool puppet, a freedom fighter, handsome and dashing and with good optics — but he overplays to the crowd now.

The mystique seems worn.

The markets are up and down and roller coaster. One day I am fearless the next I am planning to eat leather shoes.

My cupboards are stacked with beans and rice and tins of spam, and tuna and chicken. Enough probably for six months if just me on rations, perhaps 3 months with one other on rations.

But I still go to the store once a week and get fresh fruit and my hummus and tabouli.

This simple take averages around 70 bucks per small market basket full. I never use to notice my grocery bill.

Last night I chopped up a head of cabbage and am experimenting with making sauerkraut.
