Leaf blowers

Today the season of leaf blowers began

8am the neighbors to the south west

Like clockwork

The endless piercing drone of multiple machines

I pray for rain

It is overcast and chilly

I do a rain spell in my mind

How is it that cow herds will be eliminated

But these gas guzzling noise pollutions

Will be allowable?

The magnificent mile here in town

With landscaping crews lined up and down the Main Street

A chorus of high decibel gas powered noise pollutants

This was not how spring was meant to be.

Never ending landscaping and building

More New Yorkers

More Californians

More Texans

I despise them

I despise their herds of worker bees

All Venezuelan

It used to be local boys with the landscaping

Small crews

Manual manicured yards

Now all is machines

Tree eaters

Standing motors

Electric trimmers

Pool cleaners

Decorators

Architects

Developers

Realtors

Lawyers

I find it all disgusting

Bloated

Airbrush

Without soul

Droning soulless leaf blowers
