The horror!

The horror of a magnifying mirror!

I have never been a woman of lotions and potions.

Oil of Olay, Coconut and Almond oils are my go to.

My skin when young was not the clearest, but finally at around 18 some clarity came.

Though then rosacea has run through.

I do like nice makeup — will buy from the top brands.

Wearing a light liquid base, cream blush, mascara and bit of Vaseline lipgloss.

I do not have a problem going without makeup and can leave the house with my face bare and my hair up in sticks and not much care.

I have gotten facials in the past, and a few laser treatments for the rosacea and to keep some wrinkles at bay, even lip injections. Once 10 years ago and another last year.

It just isn’t really me though with the lip injections. It was tastefully done, not over the top — but still made my face feel foreign to me.

My neck argh . . . damn weak Irish chin and inherited turkey neck!

I went once years ago to a plastic surgeon and he pulled my whole lower face up and back.

I looked like a cat woman —

Horrified and good humored — I asked

“How long would that take to settle?”

He said
