I am rarely taken or enthralled. Most people I find off putting and am most often than not ill at ease with others.
I have no energy for maneuverings of status or one ups.
My voice is never phony or false.
I am long in tooth and getting tired.
My health has taken a turn.
I am online more the past year than ever in my life.
I find his face there. Face new to me – but oddly familiar.
Big manly nose, jutting jaw. Amused eyes.
He becomes someone I want to tell all about it, and I want to hear his stories too.
A legion of stories he has – I can hear it in his voice.
He is too young – I think I have 7 or so on him.
But I want to listen to his voice read. Read anything really. An old telephone book would be fine.
Want to ask him questions about how he thinks it all works and the why of it.
He seems like a calm.
