Vonnegut got me through very lonely 20s. He saw lots of human sadness and terror and still had humor. I do aspire. Great essay by you. We are all carrying. I forget that often - perhaps shameful of me. Just I feel so weak and inconsequential and put upon - I can’t imagine anyone is on similar footing. Everyone seems more grounded and stronger than my flimsy flotsam. But we are all doing time here. All marching in step. Thanks for the remind. Very sorry for your loss. X
