Yesterday, I went on a nice walk with one of my oldest friends.

She is kind and human beyond compare.

I started a laundry run down the road before she arrived. Started with just my clothing and after the walk, I loaded up all my bedding.

Took the gorgeous Pendleton winter wool top blanket to the dry cleaner.

Vacuumed a bit. Put out the trash. 5 loads of laundry.

Made up a nice clean bed, lighter sheets, the weighted blanket and a nice light pink summer quilt that I bought a few weeks ago.

Rinsed off in the shower.

Slipped into bed.

I didn’t sleep though. Awake through most of the night listening to podcasts.

Pondering what I need do next. Trying to intuit what the next fork in the road will be.

I saw another old friend on the Sunday, a nice mellow lunch, laughing about old times, talking about work, and life and family.

They have chickens and ducks and blueberry bushes and grapes.

Her husband packed me up with some grape cuttings to try and plant, as well as two shoots off a Lilac tree.

I would love to go to my old family home where my sister now lives and take cuttings from there. . .but I haven’t been to that house since Christmas of 2020 and I haven’t seen her in person since February 2021.
